Tara and Jeff...

recently did their engagement photos in Sellwood. Jeff is a DJ, and we met a couple years ago at a wedding. It will be fun to work with him on a different level. The big day is in December, and I'm looking forward to photographing these guys again.

Alicia and Cody...

did their engagement pictures at their neighborhood park. It was getting ready to rain on us when we got there so we did a quick walk around the pond to get some good shots of Alicia and Cody, and the rain set in when we were done. We are looking forward to the wedding in September, this will be the fourth time we have worked with Alicia's family!

Leah's head shot

So, you need a business head shot. Why do we automatically think of a blue backdrop and studio lights? Leah, who is a real estate agent, has the right idea. Outdoors, a couple different shirts, a few locations, her cute dog Lenny=natural portraits as well as something unique to put on her business card. Thanks Leah and Lenny, it was a pleasure!

Meadow and Chon...

were in town recently and we grabbed an evening for their engagement session in the park blocks. The weather was gorgeous, and it was so fun hanging out with and photographing this adorable couple. The upcoming wedding is at the Columbia Gorge Hotel and we are looking forward to it!

Michelle and Nelson

In just a few short weeks, Michelle and Nelson will be exchanging vows at the Crystal Ballroom. We started their engagement session on the east side esplanade and ended up at their fun apartment, with bright walls and nice window light. Thanks guys, I can't wait for the big day!

Katie and Ryan's 'day after' session!

Finally! I got a couple that was interested in putting up with me (and their wedding clothes) for a photo session the day after their wedding. I'm never one for clever names, so I call this a 'day after session' and I am so excited about it. It is included in a couple of my packages for '08, and can be added on to any package. The beauty of the 'day after' session is that there is no stress, or time restraints, or church coordinators (God bless 'em!). We can drink wine at the beach, get ice cream (or Chicago deep dish pizza like Katie and Ryan did...), or lay down or crawl on things and not worry about getting the dress dirty. A day after session gives us time to play as artists, and another day for the couple to admire how darned sexy their new spouse is in that gown/tux.
Katie and Ryan rocked downtown Chicago two days after their wedding. We hit several landmarks, got the dress plenty dirty, had pizza at Gino's, and acquired one stalker with a camera. We had a blast! I loved all of the images, so I had a hard time narrowing down to a few samples, but I have implemented a maximum of 10 from each shoot rule, so here are 10 of the 175 final images. Enjoy! And thanks Katie and Ryan!

Katie and Ryan, Geneva, Illinois

Katie and Ryan exchanged vows one month ago today at the Mill Creek Golf Course in Geneva, Illinois. We met this wonderful couple in person for the first time the day before the wedding, but we immediately felt like they were old friends and had so much fun being a part of all the festivities. Best wishes on a lifetime of laughter and happiness Katie and Ryan!

Katie and Ryan did a 'day after' shoot in Chicago, so check back in the next couple days!
