Kamron, Sean, Trinity, Asher, and Isabella

Meet the Edwards family. Kamron is yet another one of my best friends (I've introduced three of my best friends in the last several blogs). Kamron is more like a sister than a friend. She was my closest neighbor growing up (a mile down the road) and we were inseperable. We used to cruise the gravel roads riding double on a little honda motorcycle, write, direct, and film screenplays with all the neighborhood 'actors' (Kamron was by far the best, especially in our big hit "Rudolpho"), and laugh until our parents would kick us out of the house. Kamron's parents are like my second set of parents, and it is so wonderful to see Kamron as a mother. As you can see, no one is afraid to be silly in this household--except maybe baby Isabella Nicole but just give her a few months. Sending hugs from Portland!

Kari, Peder, and Maddison

Meet the Underdals. Kari Ann is one of my best friends. We went to school together from Kindergarten on, found our share of trouble in high school, and I guess now we're all grown up. Kari, Peder, and Maddison live in Shelby now, and came home to Winifred for the weekend. We were supposed to do their family pictures at 10 in the morning. About that time, I got a call. Maddison had taken it upon herself to give her hair a little trim, so they were running to Donna's salon for a quick fix. They all looked fabulous, and although I was grumbling that we started our shoot at noon (the worst light of the day for portraits), everything turned out great. Thanks guys, I miss you already.

The Martins

While I was home, I squeezed in a few portrait sessions. Judi and Matt had just had little baby Jaden, and we did some Christmas pictures in their home. Jaden got lots of kisses from her proud big brother, and did great in her first portrait session. Thank you, and Happy Holidays to the Martin family!

Kay and Tyler, Montana

Ah, Montana. One minute it is blizzarding, and the next it's nice. And so it was at my cousin Kay's wedding. Kay and Tyler had planned an outdoor ceremony, and mother nature promptly changed it to an indoor ceremony at the First Christian Church. The worst of the weather came when we did our first bride and groom session, but they were all smiles as it was sleeting sideways under their umbrellas! They even rode in the back of a truck to the reception--I love it! We had a break in the weather at last light and got some romantic shots on the golf course, and then everyone partied the night away. Thanks Kay and Ty, and congratulations!

The DeJongs

Meet the beautiful DeJong family. We had planned to do a family session in the park, but the rain just won't stop! So we used their house, which has a lot of great natural light and furniture. I love the DeJong Family sign, and all the fun shots of the three of them laughing. Thanks guys!

Heather and Shawn, Vermont

Heather is one of my dearest friends. We have been like sisters since we met in college, so it was so exciting when she met 'the one'--Shawn. I was so honored to photograph and stand up for this beautiful couple. It is always interesting to shoot a wedding in a bridesmaid dress, but I have my trusty assistant (and fiance) Brad, and Heather and Shawn are not difficult to photograph! They are so in love, and so happy and fun. We spent nearly a week with their families, and didn't want to leave! Heather and Shawn live in Cape Cod now, so we send our love and wishes for all the happiness in the world across the States to them!
