Bonjour!

I rarely post anything personal on my blog, but today I feel like sharing a few photos from our recent trip to France for Lise and Sebastien's amazing wedding. We stayed in the Burgundy region in the charming medieval town of Mont Saint Jean. The Château Les Roches (top image), a boutique B&B, was an amazing base from which to explore the area. We had the best food (especially cheese, only one was too stinky for me), wine (served for breakfast!), sites (castles, countryside, quaint towns, canals, and fields of sunflowers), and met friendly French Donkey's, hedgehogs, and glow worms. Delta lost our baggage until the last day of the trip, so we also spent plenty of time trying to track down our luggage, shopping for clothes and shoes, etc. We did a day after session of a fabulous Portland couple in Paris, a wedding at a 900 year old Abbaye, and an engagement session in the sunflower fields, so check back in September!

I was so excited to come home to my yard (who knew I could become so domesticated?!) and see how much our newly planted lawn and all my flowers had grown. I created this arrangement from my snapdragons, sweet peas, poppies, wildflowers, and some berries from the tree in the alley.

Jessica and Joe...

had an awesome wedding at the Acadian Ballroom in Portland, OR. From the red lips at the beginning of the day to the 1937 Packard at the end of the night, the theme made their wedding so fun and unique. We did photos at Peninsula Park, and the vivid colors of the rose gardens were a perfect setting. The gorgeous flowers were done by Kim at Geranium Lake, the ceremony was officiated by Jessica's uncle, and the band, Toledo Kesch, was great fun. Congratulations, and thank you to Jessica and Joe! Be sure to check back in a month or so for their day after session at the beach!

Jayme and Brandon's e-session

It's such a random blessing to be photographing Jayme and Brandon's upcoming wedding in Missoula. This cute couple lives in Portland, so Jayme went to a bridal show to check things out. She was fighting vendors off by telling them she was getting married in Montana, and the fab private florist Kevan Inouye gave her my name. And so, we have the best of both worlds, an e-session in the Pearl District in Portland and a wedding at a brand new Missoula venue that I can't wait to check out. Thanks Jayme and Brandon, see you in August!

Betsy and Bill...

had a beautiful blue sky day for their Missoula Country Club wedding. Brad spent the morning folfing (frisbee golfing for the non-Montanans) with the guys, and they were lucky enough to see a young moose taking a morning swim. Meanwhile, Betsy and the girls were getting pretty at Sorella's. At the country club, we got moved to the front lawn after a few FOUR's! and then Betsy, Bill, Brad and I had the run of the beautiful grounds with golf carts. The reception was rocking to the sound of Reverend Slanky, one of the best bands we've heard at a wedding. The cake was made by the talent at Bernice's Bakery and was enjoyed by all. Thanks and Congratulations Betsy and Bill!
